Live Imaging Core Facility

Overview of Services

The Live Imaging and Bioenergetics Facility hostes multiple state-of-arts instrument including:

  • Zeiss LSM 880 Airyscan inverted live cell confocal microscope
  • Zeiss LSM 880 Airyscan upright two photon confocal microscope
  • Imaris Analysis Workstations
  • Leica CS2 Aperio CS2 Slide Scanner
  • Agilent Seahorse XFe24 Live Cell Metabolism Analyzer

We support a range of applications including

  • Time-lapse live cell imaging with high-resolution optical sectioning
  • Deep imaging of fixed CLARITY tissues
  • Calcium imaging
  • Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP)
  • Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET)
  • Laser ablation
  • Second-harmonic generation (SHG)
  • 4-D imaging analysis
  • Measuring mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis in live cells in real time
